IONIA. Ephesos. Circa 180-67 BC. Cistophorus (Silver, 29 mm, 12.76 g, 12 h), RY 2 of Attalos III = 138/7. Cista mystica from which snake coils; around, ivy wreath with fruits. Rev. Two snakes coiled around a bow case; above, bee; to left, ΕΦΕ; to right, B above facing bust of Artemis with elaborate headdress. Kleiner, Dated, Series 4, 5-9. Kleiner & Noe Series 36. SNG von Aulock 7842. Fresh and attractive. The obverse a bit weak and the reverse struck slightly off center, otherwise, extremely fine.
